Labor Day Weekend

An overcast layer over Hillsboro, just as forecast. The artifacts in this multi panel panaorama were caused by camera movement.

A new use for RVs - protecting Romeo from errant Champs. These four hailed from South Dakota. They kindly took up positions protecting Romeo from errant Champs.

Labor day Sky King flew safety pilot as I shot approaches and a holding pattern at Salem to regain my IFR currency. Afterwards we had lunch at the Flying M and Ron recorded the festivities. There was an unusual headwind for landing which raided the possibility of a sinker as the tree line is penetrated.

To get a picture out the front instead of the panel Ron had to hold the camera at an awkward poistion. The resulting camera shake made the landings appear a bit violent. Scared of Champs, I coasted to parking spots at the west end of the runway. Note the bird crossing the runway on the second landing (9/8/02).

911 Uncelebration

On this day I decided to honor the spirit of America by living my life. Living well is the best revenge.
