Oshkosh '98 Aerial View

Aerial view of AirVenture 98, looking to the southwest. The orange and green dots on Runway 27 have been enhanced in this picture. Planes were directed to land on the numbers or one of the dots. The orange dot was easy to see, but not the green dot. The VOR is visible above the orange dot. The railroad tracks from Ripon and Fisk are visible in the upper right corner. For reference, Runway 27 is 6178 feet.

The general aviation camping area is immediately south of the west part of Runway 27. My airplane was parked in row 13, about 1300 feet from the west end of the runway. The four large buildings near the top center are the main exhibit halls. (EAA Photo)
