Varmint Forsberg 1993-2001
A victim of High Carbohydrate Cat Food

Yesterday Varmint was diagnosed with feline diabetes. After studying this disease it was clear there was no viable alternative to putting him down. The picture on the left is from happier times.

Entropy looked for him for weeks. Varmint will be missed.

How did Vermint get his name? Sometime before Varmint was born, the moorage manager called my little Black Bizzel "varmint". That was incongruous, but the name certainly fit young Varmint. I still have a few water pistols left over from Varmint's misspent youth.

The sound clip was recorded when Varmint was just a handfull.

'Tis the gift to be simple,
'tis the gift to be free,
'tis the gift to come down where you ought to be,
And when we find ourselves in the place just right,
'twill be in the valley of love and delight.

When true simplicity is gained,
To bow and to bend we shan't be ashamed.
To turn, turn will be our delight,
'Til by turning, turning we come round right.

Varmint's father, Romeo, so named because he was such a lover (of people).

Amber, the neighborhood tomcat. He used to get Varmint riled up. One day Varmint treed him, and Amber has kept his distance since.
