AMD RADEON FREESYNC2™ HDR

BECAUSE LAG IS A DRAG

AMD FreeSync™ technology3 puts an end to choppy gameplay and broken frames with fluid, artifact-free performance at virtually any framerate. Behold the next breakthrough in PC and console gaming experiences.

AMD RADEON FREESYNC2™ EXPLAINED

You know when your in-game surroundings look mismatched? That’s screen tearing. It happens when the game’s framerate (rate that frames are displayed) doesn’t match the monitor’s refresh rate (the frequency that a display’s image is refreshed). The result is weird, unrealistic movement in graphics. AMD FreeSync2™ sorts it out, by locking a display’s refresh rate to the frame rate of the graphics card, so your game looks smooth.

REFRESH RATE

IT’S UP THERE

Outrun your opponents with a 1ms response time and 240Hz refresh rate that’s four times faster than traditional 60Hz monitors. Double-take the QHD resolution, which is twice the pixel density of FHD monitors meaning smooth gameplay, sharp graphics and no blur.

WHICH REFRESH RATE IS BEST?

WHICH REFRESH RATE IS BEST?

It does depend on your game, as the latest AAA titles can get pretty demanding. A 120Hz monitor displays up to 120 frames per second, refreshing twice as fast as a 60Hz display. A 240Hz display can handle up to 240 frames per second, a speed that should get rid of tearing in games entirely.

A SIGHT FOR SORE EYES

So long late-night eye fatigue. Ambient lighting casts a glow onto the base and stand, diffusing too much bright light from the display. The brightness and colors are adjustable too.

  2. QHD (Quad High Definition) content required to view QHD images.
  3. FreeSync™ is only available when it is connected on Display Port. FreeSync is an AMD® technology enabled on FHD or QHD displays and is designed to eliminate stuttering and/or tearing in games and videos by locking a display’s refresh rate to the frame rate of the graphics card. AMD Radeon Graphics and/or AMD A-Series APU-compliant monitors with DisplayPort/HDMI Adaptive-Sync required. AMD 15.11 Crimson driver (or newer) required to support FreeSync over HDMI. Adaptive refresh rates vary by monitor. More information is available at www.amd.com/freesync.
